That Italy is an impressive concentration of works of art is obvious and well known, but in the city known for the Challenge told by Massimo d'Azeglio in his novel Ettore Fieramosca, there is something incredible: a bronze colossus over 5 meters high with over 1,600 years of life on his shoulders.

And with a feature that makes it unique in the world: it is the only original statue of this size exposed outdoors and not in a museum. Yes, because this wonderful work is not a copy, as normally happens everywhere.

Eraclio, so it is called by the Barlettani, you can admire it in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, on the side of the splendid basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.

We tell you the legend and history of this wonderful work of art.
