The rock engravings of Valcamonica
Also known as Valle dei segni, Val Camonina has welcomed the first stable human settlements already in the Neolithic. It was in this period (10,000 - 3,500 BC) that he began the art of engraving the smooth stone surfaces, smoothed by glaciers and made perfect to give vent to the need to tell the story and leave to posterity the signs of the daily life of the Camuni people.
