In 1943, in the midst of World War II, the Allies implemented the "MinceMeat" Plan.
The goal was to deceive the Germans and Italians and make them believe that the landing, which took place in Sicily, should actually take place in Sardinia.
To succeed, they implemented one of the most intricate and ingenious military misdirection plans ever conceived, so elaborate that it became a film twice.
However, that genius cost the lives of a large number of unarmed civilians, guilty only of living in Alghero, where part of the plan was deployed.
The vast natural port of Porto Conte falls within the territory of Alghero, already considered by Hitler and Mussolini the ideal place for the attack of the Allies. The certainty that they had seen it right led them to fill the hills around the city with numerous anti-naval and anti-aircraft defense positions, effectively leaving the urban area practically unguarded which, perhaps precisely for this reason, was brutally and easily bombed by the British on the night of San Pasquale, May 17, 1943.
Perhaps out of shame, the bombing of the city was covered up by the RAF, but the wounds in the historic city center are still open and clearly visible.
V'seum Original recalls the events of that night in never-before-seen original content, written entirely by us, with music specially composed and edited in Dolby Atmos.
